Born on September 30, 1954, in Los Angeles, keyboardist-singer-songwriter-arranger-musical director Patrice Rushen has had an outstanding career with several Top Ten R&B hits, including “Haven’t You Heard,” “Forget Me Nots,” “Feels So Real,” and “Watch Out”.
- “Forget Me Nots” - probably her best known hit single, with the funky synth bass and the high pizzicato strings
- Will Smith: Men In Black
- George Michael: Fastlove
- “Haven’t you heard”
- Daddy’s Favourite: I Feel Good Things For You
- “You Remind Me”
- R. Kelly: Remind Me
- “Hang it Up”
- Deff Jeff: Hang It Up
- “Groove Thang”
- Zhané: Groove Thang
- “Let your Heart be free”
- Meikbar: Feelings
- “Haw-Right Now”
- Force Of Nature: Loopaddiction

Yo
I came across a female RnB Rap groups who used the “Feels so real Beat”
would you have any idea who it is?
its not listed on “the-breaks.com”.
Patrice Rushen is definitely one of the greatest female singer/songwriters of all time. Her music combines Jazz and disco elements. My favourite is Feels So Real (Won’t let Go). I know it was sampled on a single released by some group backed by then Uptown CEO Andre Harrell.
